First of all, lets get to know what is integrated course?
It is a course which helps one get two traditional degrees.
Traditionally, LLB course/studying LLB is all about pursuing LLB Degree from a
Law School. But integrated course differs from this traditional LLB course.
In case of integrated course, a student has the opportunity
to cover two courses under one academic program. Since there are two courses
combined, it is called an Integrated course. Some examples of Integrated course
programs are- BA LLB, B.Com. LLB, B.Sc. LLB etc.
Usually, LLB program can be pursued only as a PG course.
Yes, one must be a Graduate to become eligible to pursue LLB. But since
Integrated course covers a Bachelor’s Degree course too, it can be pursued by
students right after they complete 12th Standard Schooling!

Job opportunities are available in ample amounts. After
graduation, one may enroll with the Bar Council of India and start working as
an Advocate, taking cases and representing people at courts, charging them fees
for your service. Also, one may join good Law firms and start working there.
The best step to start off is by working under established lawyers and learning
tricks of the trade and gaining experience in the process.
The advantage of joining a firm is that it will give one an
opportunity to work under veteran lawyers, who have a treasure chest of
experience with them. So, working with/under them will help one learn tricks of
the trade and develop one’s skill set!
With time, after gaining experience, one may move on and
start private practice. The experience gained while at the law firm will sure
come handy when one starts private practice.
Apart from the above mentioned job opportunities, one may
also land jobs in MNCs (Multi National Companies) too! Most MNCs have a legal
team that takes care of legal aspects associated with their business
activities. They recruit qualified and skilled lawyers to help them out with
law related aspects that they have to deal with.
In case of such jobs, the selection is done through written
tests as well as interviews. Skilled lawyers are valued by such MNCs and are
paid well for their service!
Starting a consultation firm is also a good idea, if you
have that spirit of entrepreneurship in you! Law consultants are in good demand
these days. The above said MNCs are also known to take help of such
consultants. But to become a Legal Consultant, one must have considerable work
experience under one’s belt!
Government sector also offers plenty of job opportunities
for Law graduates. Law graduates are eligible to apply for number of Government
job posts. If you are really talented, you may even make it to reputed posts,
such as that of a Judge! But yeah, it sure takes much time and effort before
you may land such kind of post!
Talking about starting salary, if one chooses to work as an
Associate under a prominent Lawyer, the remuneration would be around 10-20k
Rupees per month. However, in case of own private practice and Legal
Consultation service, the salary will depend on the individual’s popularity and
skills. In case of Government job, the salary will be fixed, as per the pay
band.
